Summer Reading

We are so excited to announce the launch of our revamped

summer reading program!

Here is how it works:

1. Adults and students at Pioneer read a book from the book lists over the summer.

2. In September, everyone will be getting together in groups with the other folks who read the same book during 1 advisory and 1 flex block to have a book club.



Q: What if I don't like the book I chose?

A: Put it down and choose a different book from the book list.


Q: What if I forgot to get a book to read from school?

A:  The Guidance Dept has extra copies or Find a book at your local library 



Book List

Steps to access Ebooks and Digital Audio Books

Step 1:  Log into the BriteWave K-12 App

   A. Download the BryteWave K-12 App  from the iTunes App store, Google Play or the Amazon App store

   B.  Launch the mobile App

   C.  Enter your school computer User Name and Password

   D.  Enter Follet Shelf URL

   E.  Tap Log in

Step 2:  Accessing Follet Shelf and Check Out

   A.  Tap the Follet Shelf icon to go to your school's Follet Shelf

   B.  Search for the eBook you want to read

   C.  Tap on the eBook cover or the Open Book link, and then tap Check out and Download Now

Step 3:  Reading a Checked Out eBook

   A.  Tap on the book cover to open and read the book

   B.  To return to My checkouts, Tap the Bookbag menu option.  If you don't see your latest checkouts, tap Synchronize from the menu

Note:  To access a checkout ot eBook from another device, you need to move the book back online.  From the My Checkouts screen, tap Move Online.  You must also be online to synchronize your checkouts and download eBooks.

   C.  If the eBook or Audiobook is already checked out put a hold on the book.

SUPER IMPORTANT:  When you are done reading your eBook or Digital Audiobook PLEASE return it.  No one else can read the eBook or Digital Audio book until you return it.  

To Return an eBook or Digital Audio Book

   A.  Log into your Follet Shelf account

   B.  Click on the book bag icon at the top of the page
